Great snowstorm today paralyzed completely Odessa and all South Ukraine - including Nikolaev and Kherson.

As of 4:30 in the morning today Odessa was hit by a great snowstorm that was last experienced here in 1988. South of Ukraine has not seen such weather for over 25 years, and was not prepared for it at all.

By 12:00 all roads were covered with almost 60 cm (2 feet) of snow which made it impossible to drive, so a lot of cars were left just as they were on the roads, which collapsed transportation system in the city.

All highways from Odessa are closed at the moment until 12:00 of 30-th December, including Odessa - Nikolaev, Odessa - Kherson, Nikolaev - Kherson, and even the most popular route Odessa - Kiev!

We cincerely hope that snow will be cleared as soon as possible from roads in cities, as well as on the highways to Nikolaev, Kherson and Kiev.
